Streamlining processes through IT/data

Thesis project description

How can technology or data contribute to streamlining the daily work in a company? And how can the company, through effective management, motivate the company to use the technology or data correct?

This is what I want to examine in my master thesis. The company or organisation can be in the public or private sector in any given industry. A potential research question can be as following:

"How can the organisation X use technology Y to streamline workflow, and which implication can appear during the implementation of Y?"

 

 

Managerial value of the research

If you are willing to work with me, I can help you gain insights in your own organisation without having to pay for it. We can set up meetings during semester where I can update you on my process and results as well as we can meet after my exam so I can present my final results.  The results can be used to plan and implement future IT-projects. It can moreover help you to know what to focus on when going through changes in the working environment.  

Research topic motivation

On my 1st semester of my master degree, I found interest in IT-systems and project management. This is a field where I can use my experience with communication and managing a swimming team and its coaches. I want to take my career in the direction of IT and project management after graduating which is why it is very exciting to gain even more knowledge about this before actually working with it full time. 

Why collaborate with us

Already on the 1st semester of my master degree, I found interest in project management and how to plan and implement new technologies or workflows in an organisation. I have had several courses giving me knowledge about the people-perspective in IT-implementation, which is why I have gain a lot of knowledge and experience (through projects) within this field. 

Researcher bio

As a former competitive athlete, I have learned to be dedicated in everything I do, whether this is competition, work or a project in my study program. I'm very interested in working with (and writing my thesis about) IT-implementation and how technology and/or data can help an organisation become more effective in their daily work. Moreover, I'm interested in project management, IT-implementation, change management, the use of data and data ethics.

Passion and motivation

I love working in teams and working with all team members competencies where we can support each other. I like being challenged and it motivates me to learn new things.
