Thesis project description

As of now, I have not yet formulated the specific problem statement. I know, however, that I wish for the project to focus on internationalization strategy. An example could hereby be the exploration of foreign market opportunities by analysing consumer behaviour, cultural distance, trade barriers, etc. in a specific region, using relevant methods, theories, and concepts, with the ultimate purpose of formulating the best possible entry or expansion strategy. I am open to inputs, and I hope that we can jointly establish a research design that will be mutually beneficial. I additionally hope to gain access to relevant data; qualitative, quantitative, or both, depending on the research design.

Managerial value of the research

My goal is to establish a research design that will explore market opportunities in a real-life setting, thereby deducing results that will be usable for you as a company.

Research topic motivation

I am highly interested in cultural, societal, and political differences, and how these affects global trade, internationalization strategy, and communication and collaboration across borders. My current exchange program allows me to gain first-hand experience in a culture that is vastly different from the Danish, which I am sure will be useful in my future career. But before entering the labor market, I wish to further expand my competencies by working with a case that is relevant to my studies, with a company that I find interesting and fascinating, and in which I can see myself, potentially, pursuing a future career.
