Who:
We are writing to you with a strong desire to collaborate on a bachelor's thesis project that aligns with your company's expertise and our academic aspirations.
We are two ambitious 3rd-year students, Adrian Aydas and Vincent Kortenbach, of the IT-University of Copenhagen aiming to collaborate with a company. Coming from three consecutive back-to-back semesters of fruitful collaboration projects with private and public corporations, we are now searching for a bachelor collaboration project.
What:
Ideally, the project scope will center around a planned IT project implementation in your company’s near pipeline. The project can both entail an enterprise-wide implementation, but also small-scale, departmental changes to the way of working with information technology. Through the collection of quantitative and qualitative data, we intend to conduct an in-depth analysis of the processes in place and how these will alter and become impacted by the IT artifact. As we draw on our theoretical toolbox, a key aspect will center around the identification of both critical success factors driving your implementation and the barriers and challenges of the project.
When:
The collaboration will commence around February 1st. Before this, preliminary online meetings with a contact person assigned to our project will be carried out to align expectations and work out practical details ahead of fieldwork. The degree and type of fieldwork will be outlined and agreed upon during the preliminary meetings. Our intention is to work around an equilibrium in which we gain the most value for both parties while limiting the disturbance of your daily work during fieldwork. Furthermore, a Non-Disclosure Agreement can be signed if needed.
Managerial value of the research
In short, we want to help you understand your way of implementing IT projects in a different way by bringing a fresh and innovative perspective combined with a unique, academic toolbox. As knowledge transferring remains the ultimate goal with a potential collaboration, the project will culminate in a presentation of key points, ideas, and takeaways of the project followed by a Q/A session with involved stakeholders to further explore the perspectives of the project.
Research topic motivation
Our strong interest and competency profile lies within IT project implementation, and we believe that a collaboration with a company like yours would provide us with invaluable real-world experience and insights essential for both our academic and career pursuits.
