Introduction
In today's dynamic digital landscape, organizations spanning diverse sectors face an ongoing challenge: the continuous enhancement of user experience (UX) and innovation in their digital products and services.
This thesis proposal presents a dynamic framework that seamlessly merges user-centred design principles with data-driven insights, enhanced by machine learning, with a sharp focus on elevating UX and stimulating product innovation.
This proposal outlines an adaptable framework designed to empower companies seeking to enrich the user experience and drive innovation in their digital products and services. It responds to the ever-evolving demands and expectations of users, aligns with data-driven innovation, and ensures digital offerings remain effective, user-friendly, and agile in the ever-shifting digital environment.
Objectives
- Enhancing User Satisfaction and Usability: This research is dedicated to enhancing UX by comprehending and addressing user needs and challenges through user-centered design principles.
- Fostering Product Innovation: By incorporating data-driven insights enhanced by machine learning, the proposal aims to promote innovation in digital product design, enabling organizations to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and evolving user expectations.
- Optimizing Decision-Making: The research champions the integration of data-driven decision-making enriched by machine learning to ensure that design choices are firmly rooted in empirical evidence, thereby maximizing design process efficiency.
Methods and methodology
This research will employ a mixed-methods approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative research methods to achieve the stated objectives. The primary focus of this methodology is to enhance user satisfaction and usability, foster product innovation, and optimize decision-making in the realm of digital products and services.
Qualitative Methods:
Qualitative methods will be instrumental in gaining in-depth insights into user experiences and pain points. User interviews, focus groups, and diary studies will be conducted to understand the emotional and contextual aspects of user interactions with digital products. These methods will provide a deeper understanding of user needs and challenges, contributing to the enhancement of user satisfaction and usability.
Quantitative Methods:
Quantitative methods will play a crucial role in quantifying user preferences, assessing design variations, and measuring the impact of UX improvements. Surveys, A/B testing, and data analysis will be used to collect and analyze numerical data, offering a structured and systematic approach to decision-making. These methods will support the objective of fostering product innovation by providing empirical evidence and insights.
Machine Learning and Data Analysis:
In addition to traditional research methods, machine learning and data analysis techniques will be incorporated to extract patterns and insights from large datasets. Machine learning algorithms will assist in identifying hidden trends and opportunities that can further drive product innovation. Data-driven insights will inform design choices and contribute to data-driven decision-making, aligning with the third objective.
