Thesis project description
In today's rapidly evolving technological landscape, the utilization of autonomous drone technology holds significant promise for enhancing efficiency and precision in process automation across various industries. This thesis delves into the development and implementation of autonomous drones to automate tasks that were once labor-intensive, time-consuming, or unsafe. By exploring the key principles of autonomous drone systems, their hardware and software components, and real-world applications, this research aims to shed light on the transformative potential of drone technology for streamlining processes, improving data collection, and reducing operational costs. Through a comprehensive analysis of case studies and emerging trends, this study offers valuable insights into the future of process automation and the pivotal role autonomous drones play in this paradigm shift.
Managerial value of the research
By adopting autonomous drones, companies can enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and streamline repetitive or hazardous tasks. Automated drones enable precise data collection, analysis, and data-driven decision-making, contributing to process optimization and quality control. Moreover, deploying drones for surveillance and monitoring can enhance safety, security, and risk management, while also helping companies stay ahead of evolving regulatory requirements.
Research topic motivation
I have always held a deep fascination for aviation, and I am convinced that my background in automation engineering aligns perfectly with this field. The aviation industry's inherent complexity and perpetual evolution are what truly captivate me. Working in this sector would mean being at the forefront of latest research and technology, and this dynamic environment only fuels my passion even further.
Why collaborate with us
Combination of several skills and background.Great problem solver: I have started from the ground in Denmark at 2021 where I studied AP degree in Automation Engineering, Aalborg. Now I continue in the same field in Finland. In both cases I had to build my network and community with minimal support.Internship: I had a privilege to be part of Valeo for a full semester. Even though it is not in the field, it provided me with valuable insights about a real companies. I have also developed a pick and place application to check quality of sensor. In general: I'm consider myself having an attention to detail and analytical thinking, enabling me to solve problems from various angles. I thrive on approaching tasks with a comprehensive mindset, ensuring I consider multiple perspectives for effective solutions.Makes me a good candidate to add value to a team by bringing new ideas and methods, enabling research in aviation and improvement ideas.
