Thesis project description
The potential content could be correlated with the exploration, analysis, and implementation of sustainable solutions for energy projects combined with environmental attributes and aspects. The problem or main reason will be about to be explored and exploited could be associated with energy or environmental projects from the early stage of feasibility studies and environmental impacts and carbon mitigation until the final stage of such a project including full technical and economic analysis, optimization, risk analysis, sensitivity analysis, and final proposal. Subsequently, the technical part could be partly connected with programming such as Python, Balmoral analysis, and time series analysis. Another part of this specific analysis could be deployed through decision-making under uncertainty or any other tools that could be suggested by an affiliated company. The economic part could also be about the cost-benefit analysis, risk analysis using Monte Carlo simulation, and projecting economic outputs for the associated project. Lastly, the environmental and social part could be through searching relevant inputs, analyzing and manipulating them using statistical tools, or using SimaPro for LCA modeling and results
Managerial value of the research
This collaboration could benefit both company and individual for several reason. Frist of all, it is always beneficial for the affiliated company to hire a fresh and with a totally new mindset student in order to innovate in a project that is ongoing already or about to start. Another positive attribute could be the research for this specific project which is often time-consuming and the summary for raw data or complex theoritical parts to a well-structured and understandable database. Finally, through specific porjects as thesis, companies could find a potential candidate for their collaboration and probably well-fitted new partner after the delivery of master thesis.
Research topic motivation
This specific yet general master thesis title has motivated me to start feeling more than "intresting" for my field. Once I graduated as Environmental Engineer, i tried to pursue a master's degree in Sustainable Energy with specilization in energy systems analysis. I believe that there are several ecological problems that sould be solved towards carbon mitigation, sustainable energy generation and climate change. My expertise as an sustainable energy engineer make me more confident to ruminate about this kind of problems yet have an actual chance to contribute and implement possible solution for their improvement. Moreover, I would rahter be a part of a company to have my research for my thesis project as it is more realistic to gain experience and insights that in any other case you could not. I feel passionate about providing solution for my field's problem and have a chance to be part of a team in rder to pave a more sustainable path for future generations.

My name is Ilias Manolakis and i am currently pursuing MSc degree in Sustainable Energy with specilization in energy systems analysis. In my spare time, I like running, biking and swimming like a triathlete . Also reading books and writing. Trying to be proactive with my duties and planning my time so as to achieve in the optimal level my hobbies as my personal growth. Learning how to code in python because i think it is mandatory tool for data analysis and also for personal projects in different areas. My urge for life is unbeatable and i try not to waste my time. I am from Greece, 26 years old and i have persuaded myself that i have chase my goals in order to ameliorate my life and being the best version of myself as get older.
Passion and motivation
Analytical thinking combined with social skills is my bedrock as a human being. My passion for my field of interest sustainable energy is derived from my personal goals to help as many people as I can through the energy sector in terms of planning, reducing costs, distributing energy and heating, contributing to Power-to-X technologies, and mainly guiding people by example regarding of environmental consciousness and educational background. I firmly believe that I have studied lots of projects in theory, meaning in the academic level, and passed lots of exams throughout my bachelor's and master's years. I genuinely consider that i have a critical way of thinking and problem-solving mindset in order to adapt in every challenge in a company's environment. Also, i believe that i possess virtues as honest, integrity and fairness which can drive any one to continuous learning and being the fittest match for a company with the same path in its core.
