Thesis project description

We are four design and innovation students who are about to write a bachelor thesis in the spring 2023.

We have not settled on a topic yet, except for "product development". Our main interests are user-oriented design and mechanical engineering. We have a lot of experience with rapid prototyping, sketching, and CAD modelling. We have limited experience with programming (Python and C++). 

We are looking for a company who either works with development of new physical products or improving on excisting ones. Our expectations for the company is a close collaboration during the thiesis as we want to make a product for the company, keeping their values in mind. The specific type of product is somewhat irrelevant, but we would like it to have some mechanical components and be able to work with the design.

Managerial value of the research

We are interesed in helping solving a problem your company is facing. We will bring a lot of new ideas onto the table and our bachelor thesis could potentionally be a part of a new product or solution for you company.

Research topic motivation

We are all studing design and innovation, and are all interesed in product development. We would like to work with a physical product, but it could be anything from hearing aid to optimizing a police motorcycle. 

Why collaborate with us

Some of us are more interesed in useroriented design while others are more interested in material and strength proporsition. This makes us a really strong team and the solution we come up with will cover a lot of different areas. We have worked together many times before, so we know that we can work together even though we have different points of interest.
