I am still in the process of scoping the thesis, and I am currently working on some of the administrative tasks of getting an academic supervisor. However, I have the following ideas for the project:Preliminary problem statement:How do you gain the most value possible in digital automation projects such as (either RPA or BPA) and how do you measure it?The notion of value is in this regard questioned in how to measure value. I would like to research both the technical aspects of automation and the social aspects, as I believe, as of now, they are undeniably related which need to be adjusted for.I think that automation processes are inevitably part of the future of all businesses by all the effectiveness it brings along such as saving costs, ensuring effectiveness, and increasing competitiveness. However, I think that there is more to process automation besides the monetary and corporate benefits, and I want to research in-depth how you measure the value of both the technical and social aspects of it.I hope to use your valuable insights, as a change agent within IT, to be able to research the social and technical effects of process automation, and the potential value it generates for companies and society. The results would possibly be presented in a form of a framework mapping collaboration along with important considerations.Best regards
