Excelerate assists students and companies in connecting with each other. As part of your interaction with Excelerate's services, we, as the data controller, collect and process various personal data about you.
It is essential for us that you understand how we handle your personal data. This policy is designed to provide you with insight into the information we collect and with whom we may share this information.
By using Excelerate's services, you will have a personal user profile, which is the core of all the services we offer. Your identity is known to us, as this is necessary for us to effectively assist you in using our services. You are always anonymous to companies and will only be identified to the companies to which you consent.
Processing personal data is a fundamental part of our business, and we have always prioritized the security of these data highly. We understand the importance of maintaining anonymity, especially when it comes to career changes or resignations. You can therefore trust that we process your data in a secure, confidential, and transparent manner.
Excelerate is the data controller and thereby responsible for the processing of the personal data we have received about you. You can find our contact information below.
**Excelerate ApS ** CVR: 41409002 Strandlodsvej 44, 3rd floor, 2300 Copenhagen S Email: [email protected]
When you create a user profile with Excelerate, we store your email address, basic contact information, name, study, and professional interests. You have the option to add additional information to your profile, including CV, academic details such as course of study and grades, competency profile, and potential topics for thesis or bachelor's projects.
The purpose of registering this information is to offer you services that are as relevant and tailored to your academic and professional ambitions as possible. Your user profile serves as the foundation for all the services we offer, and it is therefore advantageous for you to keep it updated.
Your profile on Excelerate is always anonymous, unless you actively choose to reveal your identity to specific companies. Information that can potentially identify you (email address, name, address, phone number, and photo) is therefore not visible to the companies by default.
By following or connecting with one or more companies on Excelerate, you give these companies access to view your profile in the form you have chosen. When you choose to initiate a dialogue with a company, this company becomes an independent data controller for the processing of your personal data, and Excelerate is no longer responsible for the company's independent processing of your data.
As a user at Excelerate, you have full control over the information you have entered on your profile. You can change your personal and professional information at any time when you are logged in. This includes changes to your CV, study-related information, competency profiles, and other relevant details. We recommend that you keep your profile updated so that the services and opportunities we offer are as relevant and tailored as possible to your career ambitions and academic interests.
If you decide to delete your user profile with Excelerate at any point, please contact us directly. This can be done by sending a request to [email protected]. Upon receipt of your request, we will take steps to delete your profile or anonymize your data within 30 days.
Please note that deleting your user profile will result in all your data, including CV and other services, being removed or anonymized from our systems. We will only retain the personal data that we are legally obligated to keep.
On your user profile, you will be asked to indicate when you expect to complete your studies. We use this information, among other things, to assess when it is no longer relevant for you to have a profile with us. We therefore consider your profile outdated when 2 years have passed from the time you indicated you expect to finish your studies. We will send you a message so you can activate or update your profile before then. If you do not respond to this message, we will delete your profile.
Excelerate records which companies view and contact which profiles. We also store all emails sent through the system. Excelerate’s own recruitment department also functions as a recruitment firm and can write comments and notes on the profiles and CVs.
If we discover illegal or obviously incorrect information in your profile, we reserve the right to change these. However, we will normally not make such changes without informing you first.
As a central part of our service, Excelerate only collects the necessary information for the services you choose to use. We collect the following general personal data: email address, name, and phone number. Additionally, we record which study you are affiliated with.
To enhance your experience with Excelerate, we also process: login information for your user profile, information about your academic interests, transcript, fields of interest, a competency profile, and your ideas for thesis or bachelor's projects. We also collect technical data such as cookies and IP addresses.
The legal basis for our processing is Article 6(1)(b) (contractual relationship) and Article 6(1)(f) (legitimate interests) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
When Excelerate processes personal data based on your consent, please be aware that you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
We request that you do not enter or upload sensitive personal data that may pertain to religious beliefs, race, political views, union membership, sexual orientation, or health information on Excelerate.
