Data/Edge use-case thesis collaboration: Identify TV content through power consumption data

Introduction

We are a hardware (IoT) and AI climate tech startup founded in 2022 on a mission to completely digitize homes to help eliminate all energy waste and make homes safer through unprecedented transparency.

Our combined hardware-enabled AI solution disaggregates the total electricity consumption down to each individual device in real-time, opening up new ways for homeowners to understand their homes.

The Topic

Push our technology to the max! The overall question is: Can electricity consumption data from a television (OLED) be used to determine what is being watched on the television? and can we make a power profile for a Game Of Thrones episode or The Matrix based on our proprietary data collected and processed with our IoT module? We do not expect that you, alone, can master all the disciplines it takes to complete a project like this, we have the team internally to support you. We are all super excited to see how precise and how far we can go with our technology.



We understand that there needs to be a scientific approach included in your thesis and we are very open to various suggestions here. About you

We are looking for students with a strong mathematical background and interest. You could be studying Mathematical Modelling, Data Science, Computer Science, related fields of Engineering etc.



We are open to collaborate with students from all universities offering masters degrees in these fields of studying.
